Should I trade my 1080 Virtual edition by galax for an MSI 1070 Z + 90 dollars?

What do you all think about this trade? Am i gaining or am I losing. I wanted to know because there is an offer on the table.


I'm using an MSI board

7th gen i5 oc'd to 5ghz.

ddr 4 oc'd to 3200

It probably will, based on its cooling system. You can adjust its fan curve (if customisable) to the curve in this video:

I've never heard of Galax before, so I dunno if they have a 3rd party app like MSI Afterburner. But you might as well even use Afterburner (Google around and see if it can be used on other cards except MSI).

seems to have the same specs as GIGABYTE GTX 1080 WindForce 3X 1607 MHz 1733 MHz 1251 MHz

seems the company is Illinois USA.. their web site is oddly designed and they seems to sell their cards at $669.99 (like wow!)

other than that cannot find anyone that has benchmarked that card or owns it aside a few you tube videos
personally I would trade it for an EVGA 1080 but not a 1070
