First of all, this thing made me so depressed I need help
I bought a zotac Gtx 660 2 gb from a guy met online
After buying it I found out that it requires a 450 watts PSU to run
So I bought a new 550 watts antec PSU
When it started first it crashed on after the welcome screen
So I checked it in my other Friend's PC n still it didn't work
I tried everything in bios
Nothing worked
So I just turned my PC off n fell asleep
In the morning when I woke up I turned back my old 250w PSU n just for checking n like a miracle it worked!!!
N this time fan was at normal speed
I installed all drivers
Played some games to check n it was working!!!!
Then I put batman arkham Knight on installation
While installing I went out to a friends home
When I returned screen was again black n there was no signal
I pressed restart n fan again started to spin so fast
And no signal on monitor
Plz help me guys
I'm dying to get it working
My specs-
Ram- DDR2 2x2GB(4gb)
Dual core 2.5 GHz
Zotac Gtx 660 2 GB

If it didn't work in your friends PC either (Assuming it had the correct PSU to run it) I would guess there is something wrong with the card itself

Edit: Additional question

Did you use your new Power supply with your buddy's computer or did you use the one the computer was already using?

There are less chances of PSU going bad here due to you just bought the thing... Your GPU requires 450 Watts & 30 Amps on your PSU's 12v rails...
Before jumping to any conclusion please do tell the exact model number of your Antec PSU..
Also what is the make and model of your 250w PSU?

Thanks u so much for replying guys
Yes eggbrook I tested the GPU with his PSU and still the same(no visual and extra fast fan) then I also tested my PSU with his evga GTX 550 ti
And the PSU was working
And my 250w PSU is a HCL PSU
It came with CPU
Part no.: IE000236
Model no.: SPI250T8H8

Well, your PSU is more than capable of running this card.. But before you throw away anything.. I would suggest you to update your motherboard's BIOS. Go to the manufacturer's website of your motherboard and search for the latest version available and flash it.. It may just do the trick.

OK, so it's a Gigabyte motherboard... This is the link....

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3598#bios

Before you do anything.... You have to make sure you install the right version... I don't know which Rev version of motherboard you have....

Rev version must be written somewhere on your motherboard.... According to that version. you can download the right BIOS update file.... from the website above...

I am thinking that the card my have a heat problem of some kind. The fan running at 100% immediately isn't normal for that card, also the fact that it stops working after a bit makes me think it is overheating. So when its been sitting and is cold it runs for a bit but the moment it heats up it goes out.

According do Gigabyte's page, there are only following models:
GA-G31M-ES2C (rev. 2.x)(rev. 2.3)(rev. 1.x)
GA-G31M-ES2L (rev. 2.x)(rev. 2.4)(rev. 2.3)(rev. 1.x)
GA-G31M-S2C (rev. )
GA-G31M-S2L (rev. 1.1)(rev. )

I had an error that I should get a 64 bit version of that file
N the solution is- use a USB n then install it via Q-flash
I'll do it tomorrow
Till then...
Is there any other thing I can try till then?
Coz if its a BIOS problem then it should never have worked

Are you sure you're using this file? http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/BIOS/mb_bios_ga-g31m-es2l_2.x_fi.exe
It should've worked right of the bat...

But if it doesn't try the Q-flash method, anyway for the time being....

You may try the following just in case...

1 Run your system with least hardware... Only keyboard+mouse + primary hdd.
2 Shuffle Ram sticks... If you have x2 2 gb RAM then try using only 1 stick
3 You may also try clearing your CMOS in the BIOS. Sometimes common issues like this are easily solved just by clearing the CMOS.
You can read here on how to clear cmos for your motherboard https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-clear-the-cmos-on-the-gigabyte-board

See guys...I would never have asked a stupid question like this...
I also thinks that my card is dead(or paralyzed maybe, as it works sometimes) and I should just throw it away but...
I'm not an indoor type of guy who just stucks to PC n phones all day
But I was never good with the real world, I don't like hanging out, parties n all other stuffs that other teenagers do
I never had anyone who I can call my best friend
But when I plays games like assassin creed, hitman, call of duty it's like entering another world
(Which for me is a lot better than the real world)
I've been doing free running and parkour from 2 years now after getting inspired by assassins creed
But I'm just 17 n my dad won't give me money to waste in a graphic card
But still somehow I made him give me money to get this one(I've paid the full price of this GPU)
Before this I've been playing games on my Amd Hd 5450 1 GB
I've even played dying light on it after modding some graphics
But to buy this new one I've also sold that one
So if this one don't works I can't even imagine how my life will be
Thank u all for trying to help me
If it don't work in next 2 days, I'll just throw it away n accept that I'm the unluckiest creature on the earth

Well now I'm starting to think that there can be BIOS timings maybe?
I'll try to reset them to morning time n check again
I'll try removing battery
Or maybe it's happening because where I lives they gives extra wattage in morning time (but it seems the same 24 hours)
Well
I know it'll again stop working soon
So before it do I'm gonna play games as much as I can

OK, besides from trying what i have said to try, you can also try this one more thing.
Are you comfortable poking into BIOS settings? if not then ignore what i am saying now...

Go to BIOS settings by pressing Del or other combination of keys at the system bootup.

Go to video settings or similar and set default vga or graphics to PCI-Express slot...
This will force the motherboard to ignore onboard graphics and will use only your gpu...

Be careful when doing this.... You may have to clear cmos to get back if it doesn't works.... Just a heads up...
