I've decided I want to get the Intel 600p SSD as my boot drive but I'm not sure it will work as a boot drive for Windows on the Asus Z170m-PLUS board. Can someone confirm this for me? I want this SSD because I haven't seen any reports of it failing unlike most mainstream drives, plus I found a good deal on it.

PS. It's the 256GB version BTW

Solution
I have the same 256GB 600p installed as OS drive in new Kaby Lake system with an ASUS H270M-Plus. Great drive for the price, mine was about $83 total. No problem with install, and running great. Its highly likely it will work fine for your board as well. Just be sure you have latest UEFI installed to be safe.
