So, I dont know much about CPU cooling so I need some help with this.
I have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo and im overclocking my 7600k at 4.8GHz currently. Before I was overclocking it at 4.6 GHz at 65C. At 4.8 GHz Im running it at 70C-75C. I've seen charts for the 7600k where 75C was the load temperature and it was safe.
I'm pretty sure 80C is the safe max temperature for a modern CPU. I just wanted to make sure I can oc my cpu at 4.8GHz with my current cooler, given the 70C-75C temp. Thanks

Max on intel' site says 100c and my 3570k is max of 105c before throttle, I run my daily with maximum temperatures of 80c so I'd say you'll be fine. The reason that limit is there is to stop it from getting damaged by too much heat and you are under it by some margin.
