I'm in the market for some new case fans. I have narrowed it down to these 3 types. I want to know which has the best performance to silence ratio essentially. I already have 1 ML140 pro that I got as a gift, and it performs a lot better than my previous AF120 fans. But it sounds like a jet engine after I have been gaming for a while. They are all around the same price on amazon and I have prime so that is where I will buy them from.

Solution
I would say the Corsair has the best performance but is noisiest (Airflow CFM 97, Sound Level 37 dBA)

The Be Quiet is the quietest but has the poorest airflow (Air flow CFM 59.5, Sound level 15.5 dBA)

The Noctua is a good balance between noise and airflow (Airflow CFM 82.5, Sound level 24.6 dBA)

If you can control the Corsair fan with PWM it may be less noisy. The Be Quiet fan has the best performance to noise ratio but it is hard to know if it will shift enough air for your cooling requirements.

I agree you must use the Corsair ML pro fans In PWN big difference in the character of the fans then .
But from what I understand ur just to use the fans to feed the chassi air?
I would recommend this fan its awesome
Noiseblocker e-loop B12-P 2000rpm 4 Pin (PWM) 28 dBA @ 2000 134cfm probably best fan noise/airflow.

I have used all of them for testing. The best ones are Silent Wings 3 (SW2 are good too) in silent/performance ratio. Silent wings 3 pwm high speed are inaubidle within 950 rpm and move a lot of air. Corsair ML140 and Noctua A14 are similar within same range (Noctua is a bit better) but can't compete with BeQuiet ones. Perhaps the Bequiet fans are usually a bit more expensive and bundle doesn't come with low noise adapter or two way splitter, as Noctua one

Thing is you guys we even talked about air pressure are you guys aware of this?
I got 32 corsair ML 120 pro i and I'm using ml140 for exhaust work where the fit the bill 100% but the 120mm ML shifts almost 80cfm and has a stativ pressure of Max 4.20 H2O and Max DB is 37 im presuming some of,you are using radiators
And i dont hear the, corsair fan more or less in my full lovads the magnetic levitation construction is much less sound in than traditional ballbearings and the maglev lifespan is around! 150000-200000 hours and under 1200 they can't be heard it's probably the ultimate fan for airflow and static pressure in the market .
And just google reviews on ML120pro and 95% highly recommend the fan so it's based upon fact my statement

I have just tested all of them before completing my build. I used to work in assembling pc at my brother magasine, so I can test some components on some occasions. I don't have a documented test, I just wrote down the noise/rpm ratio and tested the airflow by considering different sensors temp. Of course I am not a professional reviewer so You can consider my test as a personal opinion. Perhaps noise was tested using the same microphone at different rpm/voltage range (600/800/100/1200/1400 if I remember correctly). I was just curios and I had the possibility to make this test. Using them as case fans does not usually require a so high rmp so You can use which one You preferr (aesthetic/price) and the noise will be way similar at the same rpm. All of these fans are high tier.

The Ml140 I tested was a bit noisy at 1200 rpm, nothing terrible but I could definitely hear it over the Bequiet one. Maybe it was a faulty fan, I just can't say. You got 32 of them so Your experience is way bigger than mine. Noise fan is even subjective, I must say. However I really think that magnetic levitation purpose is mostly a marketing weapon in regard of noise emission, much more usefull for life span. About air pressure I will referr to reviewer (just didn't test the fans with a radiator) and the Noctua AF14 seems to be the weakest one while the Corsair should be the best one, strictly followed by Silent Wings 3.

Well iknow of some production problem in the early release but i have owned probably 15 different brands and several models from many brands.
I'm deeply impressed of the broad spectrum performance from in particular 120ML here is an very thorough review made in my opinion anyway its pretty eye opening facts.
