I'm in the process of upgrading my CPU and I was hoping somebody could give me good advice on whether to upgrade to a AMD FX-6300 with a Motherboard that can support the overclocking of it, or to upgrade to a Intel Pentium Dual Core G4620 with DDR4 ram and a new Motherboard. The way I see it, the end cost of each CPU and Motherboard bundle would be around the same. The only difference is that the FX-6300 can be overclocked higher than the base frequency of the G4620, however the G4620 is like 5 years newer than the 6300 and is made by Intel, a seemingly better processor manufacturing company. Thanks for the advice!

What Supahos said. The AMD AM3 chipset and CPU's are extremely old at this point but AMD has AM4 and Ryzen around the corner finally which should at least make them a viable contender again for a decent CPU. Even the 8350 is showing it's age. Go with the Intel option.
