I am going to install a new mother Motherboard in one of the 2 computer cases I own, size of this Motherboard will be the deciding factor. Both of these cases can hold 4 Disk drives. I have 4 1TB Hard Drives. Both of these cases have 2 DVD players in them. The Motherboard I am am getting has something close to 9 Sata Ports.
I am a hard core Video Editor, On Windows I will be running Sony Vegas Pro 13 and on the Linux side, I will be running Kdenlive. I do a ton of Video Editing on most days. Folks bring me Video to Edit, I am busy on this computer.
Now the question I have, if am to run a RAID 5, do I set that before I install to OS, which are going to Windows 7 Pro and Linux Mint 18.1KDE. or do I partition the first drive, install Windows 7 Pro in one partition and Linux Mint 18.1KDE in the other partition, then set up the RAID 5 system? Or which is the best way to do this?
