Autorestart after shutdown

Hii guys I am suffering with a critical error so please help me if u can

My pc specs are
cpu - i7 4770k
graphics card - gtx970 4gb
water cooler
motherboard - Maximus 6 Hero
ssd 128 gb
hdd - 4Tb
power supply - corsair rm 1000w

Now there is 2 problems I am suffering with
1 - Whenever I shut down my pc it restarts itself
2 - sometimes it doesn't restarts itself after shutdown but this time my fans are still running and my motherboard is getting power somehow even after shutdown. Recently due to this error my power supply was destroyed and i replaced it to a new one also i don't want this to happen once again this is so annoying guyz pls help me out of this

Well hate to say it but your PSU when it destroyed could have sent a shock to the motherboard causing it to mulfunction also another issue could very well be that 1000W PSU thats WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY OVERKILL for the GTX 970 and i7 4700k? I think you might have meant 4790k but it could be that your connectors from the case to motherboard for Reset switch and Power switch are mixed up but thats only if your manually turning off your PC.

sry i corrected my mistake it is i7 4770k and i did not understood what u explained can u pls elobrate it and this whole problem started before my power supply was destroyed so i dont think so that my psu was causing such a mess

Ah okay, it was caused before your PSU was destroyed. Theirs connectors from your case that is reset and power button, make sure those are connected correctly to your motherboard.
