Hello !
So basically, I bought a new PC, with an HDMI monitor. I didn't buy any speakers because I wanted to use my headphones. After I built it, I realized that the HDMI cable also allows the monitor's integrated speakers to output sound, which is good, but whenever I try to plug in my headphones they just don't work and the sound keep coming out of the monitor.
I looked at the Playback Devices and I can only see 4 devices : The monitor itself, and 4 'NVidia Outputs' that are apprently 'not plugged in'.
Could you guys help me with this ?

Are you using windows 10? If so then click on the speaker logo on the task bar. Above the volume slider there should be the name of the audio device currently being used. Click that and a drop down should appear, there you should find all detected audio devices. Select your headphones from there. If they are not showing up in that box make sure you have the correct driver installed and make sure that it is plugged into the correct USB version e.g A blue connector indicates a USB 3 connection.

I am using Windows 7 :(

EDIT : I went on the motherboard's site and downloaded the onboard audio drivers and now it seems to work fine :). Thank you for your suggestions, though, I appreciate it ! :)
