Hello,
I built my new PC yesterday and it's not my first one.
I'm very disappointed to see that it's not working at all...
Config:
Intel Core i7-7700K 4.20GHz LGA1151 - KABYLAKE
Z170-Gaming K3-EU - Socket 1151 - ATX
Vengeance LPX Black 16 Go (2 x 8 Go) DDR4 2400 MHz Cas 14
SEASONIC G-750 750W - 80+ Gold
Hyper 212X
GAINWARD GTX1080 GS
There shouldn't be any compatibility problems because this CPU and mobo can be found in bundles. Like on ebay for example.
I already know this: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems?_ga=1.195715115.664561522.1486202951
And I already checked everything (even the most stupid things like a CPU or mobo socket not inserted to the max.
When I try to start it I get all the lights from motherboard and fans and the1080 to lit, all fans are turning and hard drives too, NO motherboard beep, nothing on screen (tried all hdmi and DVI)
To try to find the culprit here is what I already did:
removed every component one by one until I only had mobo/cpu plugged in.
And I cleared CMOS just to be sure.
No reaction at all for every component removed (there is a DVI output on the motherboard so I didn't need to put the 1080 inside).
The only sign of life I managed to get is when I removed BOTH memory sticks and got the BEEEEP BEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEP *shutdown* as expected.
I then plugged only the minimal stuff, mother board and CPU and used my good old Antec 850W to power all that. The antec PSU is what I use since 2012 and is perfectly fine. (of course fans and speaker and power switch are still on).
Nothing happened.
So.... is it my CPU or my Motherboard?
I really need help
