Well in that case your PS4's wireless adapter could be messed up as well.

If it is, you can throw any router you like in to the mix and it won't make a scrap of difference.

If you've got a mate with a PS4, ask if you can try it out on your home WiFi just to test. It would help to prove whether or not your own console is the cause of the problem.

I would certainly do that before spending money on a new router just in the hope that might fix it.
