I don't know why my fx 8350 fails prime95. Bios settings is all stock. I have a m5a97 r2.0. Memtest said no errors and the vcore is pretty stable. it,s between 1.2 and 1.41 v under load. the temps are fine. All idéas will help :)

Your CPU temps may be fine but the voltage regulators don't get any airflow and can overheat. Simple to test. Take the sidepanel off and point a desk fan at the motherboard.

Hm i will try that :)

I've been in the same situation with an FX 8120. Crappy VRMs can cause all kinds of problems with an 8 core processor. You're basically using 8 cores on a motherboard actually only designed for about 4 or less cores. I actually put a fan on the VRM heatsink and it did nothing to help my situation. I eventually just went to Intel and problem solved.

Thats a good advice and i will do so in the future. But my motherboard should support the fx 8350 fully. Seen a lot of people with the sam setuo

I took a huge fan and had it against the motherboard when doing prime95 and it was doing better. I took like 5-10min for test to fail instead of 1-5min. The chipset/nb which is underneeth the cpu is still getting super hot

It's weird tho because net on net sells the same motherboard and cpu together https://www.netonnet.se/art/komponenter/uppgraderingspaket/moderkortacpuinternminne/amd-fx-8350-16gb-1600mhz/207250.8985/

I will change to intel soon but not yet and right now i have disabled the turbo core
