Ok this is what I've got:
Acer aspire v3-731
Windows 10
Problem:
S key stops working randomly. Starts working again randomly. Will type sD instead. Will erase first letter in sentence.
W key stops and starts working properly on it's own. Will type 0 instead. Opens up random files.
Fn key starts and stops working randomly.
Here's what I've tried:
Uninstall and reinstall keyboard driver
Checked sticky keys, filter, language setting
Updated drivers
Checked Windows 10 keyboard updates
Ran corruption scan-clean.
I have been trying to find a permanent solution for 7 hours. I've checked several times before to end up fruitless in several forums at similar issues but not with these exact keys. This started after the Windows 10 update. So I thought that initially was the culprit. One forum mentioned a hard reset but was not a guaranteed fix.
No drops or spills have happened to laptop as far as I know. I do clean it regularly with duster.
Please, please help before I chuck this thing across the room and have an even worse keyboard issue lol thanks!
