Hello everyone, I was planning on getting a custom water cooling loop for my CPU and was wondering if I could find the parts for under $200. I am a water cooling noob and have never done it before but going onto sites like EKWB it seems crazy to have to pay minimum $350 Canadian for a simple CPU loop. Can any of you guys make me a part list? Any help is really appreciated.

My specs are
Nzxt s340 elite
Amd fx 8320
gigabyte ga 990fx gaming motherboard
gtx 1060 3gb Gigabyte windforce edition.

Good less than $200 CAD watercooler is, pardon the pun.... A Pipe Dream. If you're doing it for just the aesthetics, pick something else to do to bling up your rig. Get some good custom power cables, or something like that. Multi-Coloured LEDs, UV paint, clean up your wiring and make it look super duper that way. 2 of my rads are over $300 CAD each, and my GPU block was pushing $250 itself. Not to mention the tubing, fittings, coolant..... As you can see, Liquid cooling is NOT just a quick and cheap alternative. It can be a fairly expensive endeavour if you A: want it to perform and/or B: look good.

Custom water cooling is not not cheap, if you only have $200 to spend I would not even bother. Just get a closed loop cooler or a beefy air cooler.

Personally I would just start saving for a switch to intel or amd zen rather then spend money cooling a 5 year old 8320.

Since I only game at 1080p and i get around 80 fps, there is no need right now for me to upgrade the CPU or other performance affecting parts. Right now I mainly want to do it just for the aesthetics I might upgrade later but I just want to make my rig look super cool. What do you think of the H240?

Or do you know of any other better options?

Hello man

The H240 is good. EK has an expandable AIO (can't remember the name). I had an H320 (360mm rad) for a good long while, and when I switched from it, kept the waterblock, pump, and other stuff. The pump that comes with it is REALLY GOOD, one of the best DDC types on the market.
