The second one.
But if you're going to use a B250 motherboard there's no reason to use a K-series CPU.
Isn't a K series processor better? I'm new to pc building so forgive my lack of knowledge... I also chose the B250 because I got compatibility issues with B150/H110/H170 motherboards
The 7000 series works with the 100 series boards but only if the bios has been updated which in most cases hasn't happen yet. The k stand for unlocked and they are only a very small amount faster compared to the closest non k part when not overclocked. Since you can't oc on a b250 board you are spending a premium for a feature that won't be used so I recommend you take the next step down which in this case is the 7500.
So I got a standard i5 7600 instead of the 7600K. Can I overclock with a different 200 series board? ( e.g Z270)
Yes but overclocking isn't that amazing either. Sure you can get a good boost out of it but you first need the more expensive stuff (z270 + k series + decent cooler). If I were you I would just leave it behind.
Also whats up with the storage on the second build? Did you select the wrong hdd?
