GTX 1060, 1070 or something else? 2560x1080

I don't want to upgrade until 2 or 3 years from now. I currently have a 2560x1080 monitor. I am open to any suggestions. Just leave them down below.
CPU: i5-4670
My monitor is 60hz.

You'd probably be happy with a 1070. The 1060 is a great 1080p card, but 2-3 years from now on 2560x1080 you'd probably need to fiddle with settings all the time. With the 1070 you'd be able to run everything on high/ultra up to the limits of what your CPU can handle. The other approach is to get a cheaper card and look and see what advancements get made in the next generation of cards.
