Hey guys im buying new gaming laptop https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LD4MGSK/ref=ox_sc_act_image_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1. I need laptop not desktop so please dont just say get a desktop. While at home i want to hook up the matching monitor https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01C05C1OK/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 i was wondering if this laptop would run that monitor well? I play blizzard games mainly esp. Overwatch and wow. But also modern games looking forward to yhe new ghost recon and for honor. Also thinking of stepping upto the 1440p version of this monitor, what are your thoughts on the laptop abilities on the two monitors.

With those specs, you are certain to be able to play todays latest games on Max setting well above 60fps. 1070 woulld be great for 1440p but I'm not sure if you would be able to 1440p 144hz. You should be able to run 1080p 144hz on that laptop though.

1080p 144hz would be easily achievable.
Blizzard games are usually pretty easy to run, but getting above 144 FPS is pretty hard, because the laptop 1070 is both a little weaker than it's desktop variant and it has much harder time cooling itself being in a laptop, thus it has to slow down.

Overwatch at Ultra on 1920x1080 only just gets 144fps. Going up to 1440p would bring that down to like 90fps.
You HAVE to use the Displayport to do that though, HDMI isn't capable of it.
