So i just bought a new Amd radeon hd 5850 and I wanted to get the most out of it. So I overclocked it, but I went too far. Now my psu is dead. I had a spare psu with a much lower wattage and I tried it. Everything worked but I could not test the gpu. Is my gpu dead?
I overclocked my gpu too much!

Overclocking too high doesn't typically kill a PSU. OC'ing too high will usually result in a BSOD or system freeze. Have you taken any steps to verify that your PSU is actually dead? For instance, have you taken out the new GPU and started your system?
