So I just got a bunch of new parts to upgrade my computer the other day one of which was the Asus Prime z270-a. Installation went fine, everthing looked good, but then once I have everything in and turn it on it does not boot.

On the z270 there are 4 led lights that light up indicating an error with something. One of which is red for the CPU and yellow/amber for the DRAM. When I turn on my computer the red CPU light comes on for just a split second which I think is just indicating the motherboard running past it in while trying to post. Then the amber led for the DRAM comes on and stays on indicating an issue with the DRAM. For reference I got the G.Skill Ripjaws V Sereis 2x8GB DDR4 2400.

I have tried each stick or ram in different slots on their own to see if one or the other is bad, I have pressed the "MemOK!" button on the motherboard to try and get it to run compatibility, I have checked the cpu and slots for bent pins, I have disconnected everything and reassembled. I have also taken a stick of ram that is definitely working (its in this computer that I am typing this on now) and tried it to no avail. As I am writing this I am going to try one of the sticks that I got myself in this computer to see if they do indeed work for certain too. However all sticks of ram that I am trying are G.Skill so it may be that they are not compatible with this Asus motherboard?

This brings me to my final question then, does anyone have the qualified vendor list for this motherboards memory? On the z270-a page it mentions the QVL but I can not find a link to it anywhere.

Parts:
Motherboard: Asus Prime z270-a (new)
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaw V Series 2x8GB DDR4 2400 (New)
Processor: Intel i5 7600 (New)
Video: EVGA Geforce 1080 (New)
Power: Seasonic SS-620GM Active (620w) (Old)
CPU Fan: Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO (New)

I may have the exact same issue; I have replaced every part, one by one to no avail (and before you suggest this.. no my cpu pins aren't bent). To anyone else having this issue with the ASUS Z-270 a or ar Prime try only putting one of your new RAM sticks in. It should boot and run fine (as I am posting this with the pc with only one stick in). If not then we probably have different issues.

I am also trying with 2 x 8 GB sticks, Corsair Vengeance LED at 3200 MHz (CMU16GX4M2C3200C16R). I have also tried 2 x 8 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX at 2400 MHz (CMK16GX4M2A2400C14) thinking it was an issue with frequency compatibility after I replaced every part. Still no boot with 2 sticks.

What exactly do you mean by that?

Ok hold on we got like 4-5 people hijacking the thread.

If you aren't the OP and you have an issue, make your own thread. Your issue could be different.

Koridic please take a very clear picture of your entire CPU socket without the processor in it.

See https://www.asus.com/au/Motherboards/PRIME-Z270-A/HelpDesk_QVL/ for compatibility list.

OP claims he is using Gskill so it shouldn't be brand compatibility, but perhaps it is an issue with 2 x 8 GB sticks? Does anybody else have this issue with smaller memories or perhaps have it working with the same memory as us?

It could also be an issue with one of the Bios settings, so far I haven't had any success with this but it is complicated and I may be overlooking something.
