Hi,
With a 212 evo cooler and SSD my pc is very quiet, barely whispers.
However recently, and now more often (once a day) my PSU fan will become quite loud, unhealthy loud, like it has a bit of dust caught or the fan is perfectly straight.

The weird thing is shutting down and stopping the fan doesn't fix it, but shutting down and flicking PSU power switch off and on does. Doing this means as soon as i start up it is now silky smooth again.

Is my PSU confused, am I confused? Halp

Little hard to predict future without even seeing your PSU.
But yes, strange sounds coming from PSU is usually a sign that PSU is coming to the end of its life. So it's probably going to 'bang' at some point. When? God knows ... It may actually work for few more years.

If you think it's dusty, try cleaning it with compressed air. If that won't help, you're left with only two choices: live with the loud sounds it makes or buy new one.

Sorry for being little cryptic previously.

Thanks... I was hoping for a more "poke it here" or "you're screwed buy a new one" kind of answer.

I just need to know if its gonna go bang at some point.
