Hello

So i have a Z170 Pro Gaming motherboard with version 3016. It came with this version since I first got my pc 1 month ago. Do I need to update the bios to use a kaby lake cpu? Or can I use a kaby lake cpu right now without update?
I currently have a skylake cpu.

I appreciate help!

Kaby Lake support on the ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING began with BIOS Version 3016 so you're fine.

What happens If the z170 mainbaord has Not the Update for kaby lake? My Problem is that i have a blackscreen. The mainboard ist Not new, so I am not sure (mainboard crashed or not updated).

I use the 7700K

If the BIOS doesn't recognize the CPU (thus the BIOS update info earlier), it will not work. You should start a new thread of your own to get assistance.
