Hi,

I seem to be having an issue with my CPU temp. It sits at around 55 degrees idle and when I run intensive games it rockets to anywhere from 60 degree to 75. These seems incredibly high considering I don't actually play the latest games.
I'll post below my setup but it includes a Hyper 212 EVO aftermarket cooler that doesnt seem to be doing anything.

I've tried resetting the thermal paste and the heatsink but this has yielded zero results. I've even messed around with all the fans to make sure my setup is correct and I have the air going from front to back.

Also my Hyper fan seems to push air into the heatsink, is that correct? seems to me it should be pulling the heat out?

I have no idea whats going on here and could really do with some help or guidance.
Thanks for helping in advance.

I have the same processor and until recently was running the same cooler. I had temperatures similar to yours. You want a fan pushing cool air through the fins. Your evo came with another set of brackets for a second fan. Use this to attach a second fan to pull the hot air from the heatsink.
