Hi everyone, this is my first time posting on hardware forums, but after extensive attempts at fixing this issue and googling with no success, I decided it was time to ask around.

My brother has been having an issue for the past while where he cannot run games on his computer. Shortly after they launch, the entire computer crashes, down powers and restarts. He started having this issue a little while after buying and installing a GTX970. When he first bought the new card, it worked perfectly fine for a couple of months before he slowly started having issues, finally resulting in what I mentioned above.

He took it in to the shop to try and get it fixed, and they gave him a new power supply. (Googling issues similar to this also seems to say that getting a new power supply fixes the problem) but in our case it didn't, even after the shop sent it back. He was re-equipped with a new 650W power supply but the issue persisted.

Later he thought that perhaps his ram was the issue (doubted) and bought a brand new 16GB of ram. This did not fix the issue.

We've tried reinstalling and updating drivers.
We have tried taking the GPU out and reseating it.

I've included screenshots of as many relevant things I can think of regarding his specs, so hopefully I've provided all the necessary information within.

He's Running Windows 10 Home Edition.

Note these next two screenshots were taken when the computer was running idle except for a web-browser open. When we compared it to my computer it looks extremely different. (But I have a different card)

Thanks for replying so fast.
Yes we tried with his old GPU and it doesn't crash the computer. (It has it's own lag issues which is why he changed it, but a completely different to this)

We tried to put the card in the second PCI-E slot, but there was a cable (I think it was audio?) Attached to the motherboard too close which made it impossible for it to click in into place and blocked it.
