Adding an SSD. Quick question

Solution
Pick an SSD / capacity based on your budget and how much space you think you'll need for your core applications. 250 GB is sufficient for most folks, but 500 GB+ SSDs are available at decent prices now as well.

Samsung generally makes the best SSDs overall in terms of performance with the EVO series, but realistically speaking, any SSD from a reputable manufacturer like Crucial, Adata, Mushkin should perform well and the performance difference between them for most real-world scenarios is negligible.

In your case you would want the ssd only to have windows and some apps that you use more frequently, in my opinion 250GB is enough but you can always get 500GB for more money. I think Samsung is a good brand but some people might consider another brands, it depends on what are you willing to pay for the ssd too.
