I recently built a computer and I can get a good picture out of the gpu, but I'm trying to set up a dual boot with ubuntu and I need to boot up ubunutu using the integrated graphics first. Problem is I can't seem to enable the integrated graphics or get any sort of hdmi signal from the motherboard.

Build:
i5 6600k
MSI b150m mortar
GTX 1070
8 gb ram

So that did not work. I got no signal from anything and had to take out the batttery in the motherboard to fix it. I can't seem to install the drivers for intel graphics which may be the problem. It just says that my computer does not meet the minimum requirements

Ya its a 6600k so i think it does. Would disconnecting the power supply from the gnu count as uninstalling it, or would I have to actually take the thing out?

If you are trying to use the HDMI slot on the integrated motherboard with the Discrete graphics card still inserted in the PCI-e port, you shouldn't be able to get access, as the motherboard is detecting a external interface. Unless you manually tell your BIOS to use the IGPU or remove the Discrete card in question, the HDMI may be deactivated by default. Cheers, hope you find a solution
