Hello Everyone.

---------
Build :
---------

- Asus Z170-A
- Corsair RM750i PSU
- i5 6600K
- Noctua NH-D15
- Corsair Vengeance lpx 16gb
- Asus Strix 1070
- 1xSSD , 1xHDD (7200rpm)

------
OS :
------

- Windows 10 Pro

-----------------------
"Pre-Problem" :
-----------------------

- Once assembled my rig everything worked fine. I tried some OC of my i5.
I've reached 4.6GHz with no problem (apparently). Gradually I modified core ratio until 46. Every temp test was fine --> IDLE 15/19 celsius degrees for every core and 21/22 for package. (
checked with Corsair Link 4 and AIDA64 Engineer tool).
Tried some stress test and some of my own code; I also played Arkham Knight and Watch Dogs 2
regularly for about a month. Checked many times this forum and related questions for max temp of i5 OC mode, motherboard and 1070. My temp matched and in some cases they were better (thanks NH-D15?).

--------------
Problem :
--------------

The day before yesterday I was playing Watch Dogs 2 for about an hour and then PC has restarted due to (Asus Anti-Surge ?) -->

" Power supply surges detected during the previous power on. "

Checked for a bit this kind of error and ended up to update my BIOS version by USB.

Z170-A BIOS 2202 - Old version
Z170-A BIOS 3007 - Latest version

By default my core ratio returned to 35 (Which is what I still use).
Checked again my temp, start and reboot everything, played games and movies.
Everything normal until yesterday, when Power On button only make HHD run.
D15 fans, 1070 and (cpu I think) won't start but motherboard and Strix led are on (?).
Tried a fan test of my PSU and it works. Tried again to boot all my rig and a white line appeared on my monitor. Nothing to do until next restart when I can log in and 1070 fans start to spin in a crazy way.
Today first time same thing, motherboard and gpu led are on but no way to start them.
Second time everything booted fine.
Any advice on how to solve this situation / understand what is the problem?

I apologize for the very long, written in a not good English, text.

In all honesty it sounds like there is a component error somewhere. If i were you, i would first try to reset my CMOS. After unplugging the PSU from the wall, push in the power button to releases the extra electricity help in the capacitors of the Mobo. Then remove the battery on your mobo for about 15 secs. (Be careful not to damage the the brace holding the battery, and make sure your hands are clean so you dont leave extra residue on the top of the battery.) If you dont want to take out the battery you can reset your CMOS using specific jumpers on your Mobo, but youll have to read the user's manual to figure that out.

If resetting your CMOS doesnt work, i would test the RAM. You can either replace it with RAM you know that works, or you could take out all sticks except one, and trying to see if the machine will Post and load the BIOS screen. Just make sure that you leave the RAM in the 0 slot because some motherboards wont read RAM in another slot if using single channel.

let us know if that doesnt work.

So .. released extra electricity from capacitors and used a jumper cap on CLRTC pin for about 10 seconds. Make up the setup again and everything works fine for now.

Anyway do you think that some wrong xmp on ram while oc can be related to this kind of solution you gave me ? I mean .. Probably this problem can be caused by oc via bios setting ?
I do not know what to think about it because I have not changed anything or installed some low level software or kinds of these code.
Runned some test application a month ago and 3 games. It can be mad alone? :??:

Thanks for fast support!
