What PSU and Motherboard to get?

I have just recently build my first computer. I originally bought a tower that already had components inside and got ripped off so I had to replace everything except the MOBO, PSU, and case.

I know what case I'm getting next, so that's not a worry.
In terms of MOBO and PSU I have little to no knowledge on what I should upgrade them to.

My current build:
AMD FX 8350 8-Core 4.0GHz
AMD RX 480
Kingston Hyper X Fury 16Gb Dual 8 sticks 1600
Some type of good water cooler.

Other than that I need opinions on what motherboard and PSU to get next.

well, any 970 or 990 chipset form msi, gigabyte or asus will give you a very decent mainboard

the psu, well a 550 watts psu should be enough for it, a corsair, evga, cooler master or any other decent brand should be enough

about water cooling, well, that cpu could use a corsair h100 or smaller aio block

is it necesary for you to have water cooling on the cpu? you could also use a evo212 and go light on the overclock front

one big question is if the cpu is working or not

Thanks for the reply! And I plan on overclocking the cpu and gpu. The water cooling on the cpu is just because I simply prefer water cooling. Would I need a bigger psu for overclocking?

bigger is better just because the overclocking will make the cpu consume more watts, the stronget the overclock, the bigger the power consumption

so a good stable psu is a vital part

if you plan to overclock gpu, same applies, it will use more watts, in some circumstances you cna go from 300 watts to 500 watss, i hope you go easy on the cpu, not burning it the same day

if you plan on overclock, you need the best 990 mainboard meant for overcloking because cheaper mainboards can end burned thanks to the higher voltages and the heat generated by the process

also, you need the watercooling and good airflow in the pc case, so good fans in the back and the front moving air to keep things as cool as possible
