need help on overclocking fx 6300 in AMD overdrive

so i want to over clock and i need help, i have a fx 6300 and a cooler master hyper 212 evo, i cant do it via the bios, as my motherboard is a gigabyte 78lmt-usb3, so in AMD overdrive, the turbo clock is at 4.1ghz, and even when my cpu is under full load, i have never gone past 40c i would love some feed back and to know if its even possible to overclock on my motherboard, if not i guess i will have to stick with the 4.1ghz but id like to maybe get it to 4.5ghz

no , from memory just open the M.I.T tab from the main BIOS screen ,move down to the option you want so its highlighted & press the enter key to open up the option.

There should be no options that are locked down.

my mother board is locked and will not allow for me to change voltage and multipliers

you mean locked with a password? you can clear cmos to remove it, if multi and volt settings are locked or disabled then there's something wrong with it, try updating your bios
board isn't the best for overclocking but you should get to 4.2 or 4.3, don't go for 4.5 without extra VRM cooling

no i mean locked as in there is no way for me to change the settings on the voltage, or anything, it is grayed out, and i would love to update my bios but i don't know how
