3.9mhz overclock but amd overdrive read 1.6mhz

hi i overclock my a8 7600 from 3.1 to 3.9mhz using a78m-e35 mobo... but in amd overdrive it reads 1.6mhz... why is that happening? pls help..

its like that because your not tasking it enough to need that much power. try doing something that will task your system like running a graphically intensive game and see what happens
