Which CPU to use for a general school work build?

I'm looking for a CPU to use that can handle what I assume is a relatively light workload.

80% of my time spent on my MacBook Air is spent with multiple Chrome tabs open with PowerPoint or Word while running a second monitor and the other 20% is spent watching movies on Kodi.

I don't know if it's just because the MBA is designed for light work on the go but my MBA really doesn't like those processes going on.

All I'm looking to do is find a CPU that can handle my school work for 5-6 hours at a time and that also has integrated graphics that can handle a second monitor. I will get a GPU if that's too much to ask of a CPU.

I'm currently looking at an i5 6600 and an i5 7600. If that's too overkill, let me know because I'd be more than happy to save some $$. Absolutely no gaming will be done on this build.

Something along these lines. You can go smaller with the SSD or just use a HDD if you want

Thankfully I already have a 240GB Intel SSD that I use as an external drive.

Seriously thanks for the fast reply. This is my first PC build and I'm spending way too much time debating what to get. However, eventually I'm going to have to bite the bullet but you made it a lot easier.

Gotcha. Obviously this is the CPU section, but do you think I'll even need a cheap CPU for dual monitors on this build or will the integrated gfx be enough?
