Updating Motherboard Bios without a CPU

I just built my first PC and I found it to be quite fun but I've hit a major road block. I'm trying to use an Intel i5-7600K as my processor with a Gigabyte H170 micro-ATX mobo (GA-H170M-DS3H, rev.1).

The motherboard is only compatible with the CPU after the mobo's bios is updated. I figured this wouldn't be an issue but it would seem I was wrong; when I turn my computer on it simply beeps indefinitely. If I'm not mistaken this is a processor issue.

Of course this is to be expected but at the same time it won't give me a chance to boot to the BIOS screen in order to fix the issue. With no CPU it still beeps at me indefinitely. Is there some way to get around this? I've only thrown the update on a USB stick, was I perhaps meant to do something else? I've looked around a bit but it would seem that the only real ways to do this require the computer to be working already. I'd rather not have to throw an extra $200 just to get a CPU for the sole purpose of updating the BIOS.
