I am looking forward to buy a new PC. I earlier chosen 6700k. then after the arrival of 7th genration, I was looking forward to buy 7700k. But I saw over the internet that ,i7 7700k, heats up too much , it easily exceeds 60-70 degree celcius. I don't want to spend too much on cooler, may be I can buy cooler master 212x . should I choose 6700k ?

If you have not purchased a new CPU at this date, get the i7 7700K. It is hotter than the 6700K because it is primarily a 6700K with higher clock speed, which increases heat.

If you have good case cooling and a good CPU cooler you will be fine. My i7 7700K at 4.6GHz on all cores stays in the 50s C doing mundane tasks, jumps to 60s C while transcoding videos or CPU heavy games. Running benchmarks [stress tests] at 4.8GHz on all cores my temperatures maxed out at 84 degrees C on the hottest core [too hot], room temp was 22 degrees C.

Case: 5 year old Cooler Master 922 HAF, CPU heatsink: Noctua NH-U14S, TIM: GELID GC-EXTREME, motherboard Gigabyte Z270X-UD5 [BIOS version F2d]
