Lagging really bad!

First of all these are my computer specs:
Processor: A6-5400k
Motherboard: a55m-e33
RAM: 4gb ddr3 1333 mhz
GPU: HIS Radeon RX 460 OC 2gb

I'm currently playing dota 2 but the lag is really bad, my fps in dota 2 is 40-50 high graphics but i off all of the special effects, Im also playing The witcher 2 and my settings is only for low graphics? What can i do? This is not a normal fps for my gpu i think? HELP!

If this truly the case then you are having issues with the CPU as I mentioned before. Look into getting an A10- 6800K or better yet the 750K CPU. Both will work with your current motherboard and the 750K is the most powerful that your motherboard can...

Are you worried about Frames Per Second or lag? Lag is where the game will pause for a moment and then jump ahead. Low Frames Per Second will make the game feel jumpy and like it has a sligh stutter when the frames drop below 30.


If you are worried about FPS then the issue will most likely be the CPU. It is a very weak APU model and not really meant for heavy gaming. 40-50 FPS is about right for the system configuration you have.

4GB of RAM is also very short for gaming.

absolutely! - while running your games try having some monitoring software running in the background. try task manager or performance monitor built into windows. See how much load the CPU is under and how much RAM is free. if it's maxed out at 100% then you should consider upgrading.
