Hello,

First I'll provide with a link to a pic of my activity manager.

I just bought an acer predator 17, gtx 1070 with 8gb RAM and win10 just a few days ago.
It works fine but for some reason i can't have more then one activity at the time, and i really doubt that's how it's supposed to be on a freshly formated 8gb win10 laptop.

The only manually started software i use for example is Neverwinter and steam. If i try to start Chrome as well the computer warns me with "memory is used up, close the following windows" or something like that.
Note that chrome only have one tab open. So the "manually" started programs are gameclient, steam and chrome.

What I do know is that "memory not used is memory wasted" this should not mean however that a computer with 8gb of RAM shouldn't be able to have a game session active while it also has a Chrome session active, or am I wrong ?

A solution or an explanation would be appriciated, I have read about how Win10 allocates the memory usage but i still don't understand how this unables me to have a browser and a game running at the same time.

Thank you very much!
Sincerely,
Tyler

Thanks for the answer.
You mean the pagefile? If so it's set to 24,5gb atm (way too high i think)
