Hello community

I want to know if this PSU "Thermaltake TR2 600w without certification" is enough for the next components:

  • ■ Intel Core i5 7500
    ■ Asus Rog Strix H270F Gaming
    ■ Ripjaws V 2x8gb 2400Mhz CL 15
    ■ Sapphire R9 270x Vapor-X (Is my old gpu, I'm planing to buy a RX 480 8gb in the next month)
    ■ Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
    ■ x1 120mm Chasis Fan
    ■ HDD WD Blue 500gb (I'll buy 1tb more)

I have that PSU now, but I'm planing to buy an EVGA 600w 80 Plus bronze in future

Solution
The TR2 units are somewhat unreliable. Some people get good ones, others get lemons. As far as the 600w Evga's go, they are basically the same thing as the TR2. You'd be far better off with a quality 550w like the Evga G2 or GS, or even the Corsair CXM 550W. If 550w makes you nervous (it shouldn't in the slightest, the next recommended step up is a good 650w unit. There aren't any good 600w units. At all.

600W is plenty for what you need and the RX 480 uses less power than the R9 so you are good when you get the new card.
Others on here will be able to tell you if the Thermaltake is any good or not.
Do you already have the PSU?

The EVGA B1 600W is more reliable than the TR2 series... go for that one instead. I have one for my other PC and it has a 4770k and a 1050. Runs great. For my main build I use an EVGA B2 SuperNova 750W and it is one o the best PSUs on the market. Granted, it is a much better model than the 600W B1, but the brand is the same and the PSU is made by the same company.

How old is the TR2? They aren't known for their reliability.

If you are going to upgrade your power supply, go a little farther than the EVGA 80 plus bronze. You could get away with a smaller PSU easily, so go for quality.

EVGA G3 would be a good choice if you like that brand. Seasonic 520W Bronze fully modular is out there for only about $10 more then the 600B.
