I want to overclock my intel i5 6500 with a h170 msi

I have an msi h170 and really dont want to buy a whole new motherboard and OS. Dose anyone know of any tips that I can do. I have tried using msi command center but it says my motherboard dosent support cpu overclocking.

That's true; neither your motherboard nor your CPU support overclocking. You will not be able to. The only way you could have overclocked that CPU was with a Z170 motherboard with specific BIOS revisions that allowed for non-K overclocking
