Should I go for eye candy or resolution?

I bought Resident Evil 7, I have two 980 ti hybrids, and a 4k display. I cant play at 4k at ultra settings or I wont get 60 fps. Should I lower the eye candy or lower the resolution and put eye candy up to ultra?

You're the only one that you can decide which you like more, though. For me, personally I would go with higher settings and lower resolution, but that's because I don't care at all about 4k. Other people feel different. Only you know how you feel. Ha.

Step 1. Stay at 4k Resolution and play for a few minutes but lower the graphics settings.
Step 2. Drop the resolution down and keep the settings on ultra, play for a few minutes.
Step 3. Decide which one was better.
Step 4. ????
