Im doing my first m.2 ssd build and im worried im going to mess something up.

im using an ASUS ROG Maximus IX Formula Z270 and samsing 960 pro (512gb) m.2 ssd.

im going to be installing windows from a usb. My questions is after the pc is built and i go into the bios what are some settings i would need to change for my new m.2 ssd to work and boot windows 10.

Solution
If it is just a normal SATA SSD, but m.2 form factor - it is very likely that no additional action will need to be taken on your part at all.

Just install the SSD during your build (make sure it is in there all the way and seated firmly - it is a pain to remove the mobo to gain access to the drive) and proceed to install windows as you normally would.
