What are symptoms of a bad motherboard on a Windows 10 notebook PC? My HP 15-AC113CL has been freezing when the power is plugged in. Sometimes it does not charge the battery when plugged in. Today it was charged to 100 percent. The PC froze, and I had to turn it off by depressing and holding the system power switch. Despite full charge and with the power plugged in, the PC would not turn on again. Depressing the power switch caused no response whatsoever. After removing and reinstalling the same battery, the PC worked fine for awhile before eventually freezing again.

Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you, Cin19. The result of running the utility indicated that my battery was not part of the recall. However, it is not clear whether the battery is actually functioning properly. My investigation continues.

The diagnostic check indicates that the battery is good. However, the battery calibration process did not complete.
