Hello guys. I just have no idea what i'm doing wrong. I'm having troubles with 4670k overclocking. It can't work stable on low voltage and even on 4200mhz with 1.225 vcore temps are really high. It's going around 80+ after 5 min of testing. Is that just a bad chip or cooling troubles? Any tips?

i5 4670k/MSI Z97 Gaming G43/Kraken x61

Also, sorry for my english <3

Solution

common: Have you touched any other settings rather then multiplier and voltage, which? Have u applied a thermal paste or did u peal off protecting film from cooler, have u connected water pump cable?
uncommon: Pump may be defect. Try to squeeze slightly / hold tubes and feel if water streaming. Or try to listen pump itself if it spinning.
