Since the day that I built my PC I have been having nonstop problems with it.

Before I get into the details here are my current specs to keep in mind:

ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD FX-6300 6-Core Processor
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1600 MT/s
Corsair CS Series 450 Watt ATX Modular and Efficient Power Supply CS450M
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD
Seagate 1TB SSHD SATA 6Gb/s 64MB
Asus GeForce TURBO-GTX1070-8G (was running a GTX 960 and replaced with 1070 but problems still persisted)

My rig before the GPU replacement:

Problem: I randomly get horrible distortion through speakers, headphones, stereo (does not matter which). Computer then starts to lag; sometimes if I am running a program the program will run fine and have no sound after distortion but the moment I close out of the program the whole computer freezes and blue screens.

Blue Screen ERROR: Critical_process_died or Kernel-Power Critical Error 41
- Sometimes no Blue Screen at all. I would have to just restart.

This problem went on at absolute random for a while and then I called Asus to start with the motherboard. They sent it back claiming no issues.

Was still having crashes.

Next step was the GPU.

After Replacing 960 GPU with 1070:

This is where it gets weird. The problem still persists but also unlocks a bunch of other random problems. I've listed them here:

1st problem: Screens will occasionally go black and then 4-5 seconds later turn back on (computer runs fine).

2nd Problem: I will loose all power and control to both my keyboard and my mouse and my sound. The computer runs fine in the background and the screens stay on. However after about 1 min, the sound starts to come out of my screens (rather than my headphones). Then after about two minutes the system blue screens: Critical_process_died and (sometimes) restarts.

3rd Problem(Original problem): A horrible distortion sound comes from my audio, the computer runs for about 45 seconds and then shuts down with a sometimes blue screen.

4th problem: Computer will attempt to boot up and will only black screen and then restart and finally go to desktop. (sort of like a failed attempt).

Other random blue screen errors I receive:
-Kernal_data_inpage error
-System_thread_exception_not_handled

Things I have done:
- Updated BIOS
- Updated all known drivers
- Fresh install Windows 10
- Ran RAM test
- Checked for power dips/surges
-All known solutions other than thrown out my third story window.

I understand that this is a lot of information and I tried my best to keep it short. I am not a genius with computers so any help would be greatly appreciated. I just want to enjoy a smooth running rig.

If you have any questions ask away.

Thank you all.

I forgot to add my processor: AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor

Does that still apply?

Nothing is overclocked due to how unstable it is. And the PSU was bought Jan. 2016. is there anything I can do to check if power is failing before I just go buy a 500W?
