How long before i have to upgrade?

I am planning to have this build soon, how long will it last me before i have to upgrade?

3-5 years at least.

But then if you're the type that has to have the bleeding edge, then you have a year at most.

Or you have to have the latest GPU (for example if the GTX 1080 ti comes out), latest processor, whatever.

If you want the newest tech that's out ("bleeding edge") then you won't go more than 6 months without an upgrade.

Who knows.

For all I know, Nvidia or AMD can release a GPU next year that will game at 4K at 400fps and no currently available CPU can possibly keep up.
