Hi my pc recently started to go to a black screen when playing any game with high graphic needs. I downloaded heaven benchmark and gpu-z to monitor my card while the benchmark was running and the screen went black after 10 seconds. It lasts longer when I set the benchmark up with the basic settings and have it running in a window not fullscreen. Gpu-z says my voltage is at a constant 11.75 and the logs don't show it dipping so I don't think the psu is the culprit plus everytime this happens the tower never turns off just the screen goes black and then the system freezes up. I have had this r9 290x 4g gaming card for almost 4 years but never had a card go bad that fast before. I don't overclock it because I don't need to. I am borrowing my brothers sapphire r9 270 card to see if it runs and to see if my 290 is just starting to fail.
