hi all, as the title says, what factors make the memory raise temperature?
more speed, less timmings or more voltage?
ask this because put my 2400mhz ddr3 gskill sniper memory at 2800mhz at the same voltage (1.65v), and too i config timmings in bios an this seem to works fine , but im worried about temps. if higt temps are because voltage, this should be the same, right? Similar to what happens with the processor i think but i dont know...well i hope your answers regards guys

Solution
Hello... Speed and Voltage... you should be able to touch your RAM sticks during operation without burning your finger tip.... As there is no temp sensor on them, touch is your only sensor. Typically you want some air flow through your case/cables to them, and other OC'rs add a extra fan to blow on them.

Your Voltage is within reason and your Freq/System is not crashing... give them a touch. B /

ok, thank for the answer, now

1)can i measure the temperature of the ram memory taking into account the temperature of the motherboard?

2)the temps of the individual hardware(cpu, ram, hdd), do they influence in the motherboard temps?
