I've been having random static noises and some distortions after getting a new motherboard. I downloaded the new HD Realtek audio drivers and after that, I got this problem. I don't know what to do since I have reinstalled the drivers already. I read somewhere to test it with my headset vs. speakers to see if it is a speaker problem. I did so and there was slight static as well on them. I do not think my speakers have issues since the weeks/months before my new installation of the Motherboard, there was no indication of problems whatsoever. Anyone have any idea what can be causing this?

If you didn't reinstall windows fresh after changing the motherbd then I would suggest you back up the system and then install windows & drivers fresh. If the problem clears up then its a conflict with the old mothebrds drivers working not quite right on this different motherbd.

Thank you, I will try that when my new motherboard arrives tomorrow. Should I reinstall after I put my motherboard in or beforehand?
