I have a TOSHIBA External HDD, when I plug th usb to my, it only makes a "usb sound" after 5 seconds, it will another "usb sound" and get disconnected. It will repeat this cycle as long as its connected. How to fix pls
As this obviously, looks like a connection related issue, you need to troubleshoot the connection.
You can attach the drive with a different USB cable, to another USB port or even computer. In case the issue persists, then I believe there could be something wrong with the enclosure.
If it is under warranty, you can just RMA it.
