i just bought GALAX GTX 1060 EX OC 6GB for my old pc.
Spec:
-Motherboard Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2
-CPU i3-4170
-RAM DDR3 8GB 1 slot
-PSU be quiet! 500W

my problem is, when i plug in the new graphic card into motherboard and connect to vga monitor using DVI-D to VGA converter then on monitor just display "no signal".

Please help! im so desperate.

Solution

I don't believe the GTX 1060 provides an analog signal.
You'll need to use an ACTIVE adapter, they are much more expensive than regular adapters, usually around $30.
You do have the monitor plugged into the graphics card, not the motherboard back panel, correct? Because that could cause this problem too.

But if you have the monitor plugged into the GPU directly, and not getting a signal -...

But if you have the monitor plugged into the GPU directly, and not getting a signal - it is likely your adapter that is causing you trouble.

Do you have another monitor or screen that uses a digital signal, like HDMI or DP, to test things out?
