so i recently built my first pc and on the first bootup everything turned on but there was just a black screen. i sent it in to a shop to get it fixed and they told me part of the metal on the IO shield was touching the motherboard and it broke. They then ordered another motherboard and a different stick of ram and gave me the other one back and im wondering if i can still use it?
is my ram bad?

If the problem was the motherboard, yeah, at least you can try, in worst case scenario the computer doesn't boot.
