Hello!
Im writing on mobile so there may be some typos.
Problem:
I have a pc that i wanted to fix up, been laying around. So i took it out, rebuilt it, and started it. No video, started messing around. Then i tried my gtx970 and boom, video. So i decided to buy a video card, i bought a used gtx560ti. Tested it in my main rig, and it fires right up. Video and all. But when i plug it the other conputer, nothing. So i decided to try the old gts250. And it also works! But why the. So i took out all the components, breadbord time. With the psu from the other computer, the pc fires up, i hear the windows sound, no video. Ive built the pc over 10 times now, and everytime i plug the 970 in, video. Ive googled a thousand times no joke. Ive been trying for 6 hours a day for 3 days. Reset cmos, updated bios, reseated ram 100 times, tested the gpy in my main rig 5 times, for the same results. This is bullshit, and for some reason i dont give up. Im willing to post anything of help, i need help. This has no limits.

Main rig:
CPU: intel i5 4460k (or something)
MB: MSI mini itx something, it works.
GPU: ASUS gtx970 3.5gb (right?)
PSU: XFX pro650w, semi modular.
RAM: Hyper fury X 8gb x2
SSD: Crucial 128gb

The problem:
CPU: intel CORE 2 duo 2.93Ghz
MB: ASUS P5Q SE2
GPU: ASUS gtx560ti
PSU: Corsair vx550w
RAM: Corsair XMS2 DDR2 2gb 800mhz
SSD: Crucial 128gb (same but, another one)

Tell me what more you need to know

Thanks

I tried vga with two different adapters. As it only has two DVI ports and one mini HDMI i port, i even tested that with a vga adapter i had laying for some reason.
And two different DVI cables which both worked with the gtx970, gtx560ti and gts250 in the main rig.
And one DVI-HDMI cable, which is 5 meters long. It also works with all GPU's in the other pc.

Ive tried with multiple monitors, all with different connections. Two dvi, vga and hdmi. One dvi and vga. And one shitty vga only.
To no avail.

Yes. It needs 2x6pins. And ive tried with 3 different PSU's now. One 900w, one 650w and one 550w, all worked in main rig.

Check the bios to make sure it's graphics priority is PCI-E. Some older bioses require you set the output.

Are we talking about the peg/pci?
Anyways, why does it still work with a gtx970? Its even pci-e 3.0 not 2.0..

Yup also try uninstalling nvidia in control panel then use DDU to remove all configs. Shut down, unplug power, and remove the motherboard battery for 5 minutes. Install the video card while waiting and then replace the battery. Plug the PC up and see if you get video.

I did reinstall windows(10) twice, if that helps. Any how, i will try that in the morning. I have taken the battery out, for a night. Didn't work.
