Hei guys, I recently bought a SEASONIC S12II-520w to replace my old no-name SPC 450w. I installed my PSU to my PC and plugged the cable to the wall, and when I switch on the PSU my house got a blackout, the circuit breaker tripped.

Question is, does the power PSU draws is different every model? because this never happens when I used my old PSU, it says 100-240 voltage, same as my old PSU voltage too, what does that mean? is there anything wrong with my home electric circuit?

Sorry for bad birmingham :(

It shouldn't have been under any load till you turned the system on atleast not any more than the old PSU. How much the PSU draws from the wall depends on it's efficiency and what the system needs not how much it's rated to deliver.

So it's the PSU causing the short? so assuming I got a good quality 800w PSU plugged in to my house, it'll run just fine? there's nothing wrong with my home power source then. I thought that my old psu draws less power than this one, cause it's light as hell than this heavy seasonic one.
